For years I have struggled with sleep issues. When I hit menopause if I was able to sleep two or three hours at a time at night I felt I was doing well.
Not sleeping has a rather large impact on ones ability to function as you might imagine. To make matters worse I like to have a glass of wine or two at night before bed.
Overdue Alternative to Alcohal
Purium apothe-cherry became a long overdue alternative to the daily consumption of wine. Every once in a while I would quit drinking wine and then use a non addictive sleep aid like ibuprofen pm to try to get a full night’s sleep.
Not sure if you realize this or not, taking ibuprofen over long periods of time is really bad for you. I did know this, yet felt like I had to do something, anything, to get a good night’s sleep.
Once I discovered Purium Apothe-Cherry syrup my life and sleep patterns changed dramatically!
Created from tart cherries, not the sweet ones you find at the store,
Purium Apothe-Cherry Syrup has some amazing properties.
Not only does it have melatonin, which is necessary to balance circadian rhythms so you can sleep, it also supports healthy joint function, can prevent and even reverse aging and it promotes metabolizing of uric acid (the stuff that causes gout – a nasty painful condition).
Tart cherry concentrate has an enormous amount of bioflavanoids. Bioflavanoids are free radical scavengers and can help reduce inflamation often associated with fibromyalgia.
“Sleep comes naturally with Purium Apothe-Cherry Drink”
Serving Up Purium Apothe-Cherry
I like to mix my Apothe-Cherry syrup with premium carbonated water and drink it instead of wine at night. I’m not too sure if it is the ritual or the chemical properties of the drink that allows me to relax, fall asleep and stay asleep all night. What ever it is, I know that for me, Apothe-Cherry Syrup is the a wonder drink. The people over at Purium suggest mixing Apothe-Cherry with Aloe vera Concentrate for a concoction they call the perfect “Beauty Sleep Drink”.
While it might be best to mix Apothe-Cherry syrup into water and drink it, I also like to make fruit sorbets in the summer with goat’s milk, or even almond milk and maybe a smidgen of honey to sweeten it up, drizzled with Apothe-Cherry syrup I think it would be over the top delish.
